Golf Range Driving Nets, High Impact Golf Netting for Outdoor Municipal Installation

Golf Range Driving Nets, High Impact Golf Netting for Outdoor Municipal Installation

Over the last few weeks at Gourock.com, we have facilitated a good number of custom golf impact nets, golf driving range nets, and golf barrier netting productions and orders.  As we specialize in the highest quality golf nets that are 100% Made in the USA, hand-prepared per order, constructed to customized sizes and dimensions, from the top-end DuPont® Type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon - you have access to the best golf netting solutions for your exact project requirements.

Golf netting has many different purposes and intentions based on each unique customer needs.  In some instances, a driving range customer requires barrier nets to surround a large outdoor golf driving facility.  In other cases, a golf course may have some close-range areas of direct full-velocity golf shot impacts and requires the netting to properly function in that sort of typical environment.  Gourock.com supplies netting for both of these situations, and a wide range of golf net uses that are similar.  Whether the installation area is a private residence or a commercial high-volume establishment, the golf netting we supply is the high quality, durable, and customizable choice that excels in performance.

For golf barrier netting at municipal, commercial, and professional establishments there are many different factors to consider for the best golf netting choice to depend on.  Over the last few weeks at Gourock.com we facilitated the design, production, and shipment of a very custom golf netting production for an outdoor municipal public golf facility in Delaware.

This client required the maximum available strength, durability, and direct high-impact golf protection available - and we handled this very custom netting job in order to fulfill their direct requests and requirements.  For context, most golf driving range nets are containing errant golf shots from a distance away - so that the overall ball-speed when hitting the netting is already diminished by the time it gets there.  Typical driving range netting features a 1" mesh size - and is an exceedingly popular netting selection provided by Gourock.  Alternatively, golf impact netting is a smaller 3/4" mesh size - and is the recommended golf netting choice for full-velocity ball shots (golf cage nets, driving nets, close-range hitting nets).  For this particular installation in Delaware, our client preferred to use the most heavy-duty golf impact netting for their overall golf containment area.  In this case, they were dealing with a hitting area that could be considered a very large golf cage.  The overall length was a bit less than 100' long, with the highest point in vertical sizing being 40' tall.  So for maximum safety, the 3/4" golf impact netting mesh size was preferred.

In addition to the custom dimensions and sizes of the nets, this custom golf netting job also incorporated:
  • tapered and angled ceiling panel nets
  • vertical rope riblines running through the vertical netting (to line-up with the surrounding poles)
  • ceiling-line ropes running through the upper/top netting (to connect to a support cable)
  • secondary layer of impact netting to cover entire back 40' X 31' end panel
  • #21 X 3/4" DuPont® Type 66-728 Twisted-Knotted Nylon Netting
  • TAR-COATED netting for maximum outdoor exposure resilience
Take a look through the production images and netting images below, and you can get a decent context regarding some of the customized golf netting options available to you from Gourock.com - especially for your municipal, commercial, or professional installation.  Always feel free to contact us at Gourock about your golf netting questions!

Batting Cage Nets and Custom Baseball Net Designs With #21 and #36 Nylon Netting

Batting Cage Nets and Custom Baseball Net Designs With #21 and #36 Nylon Netting

At Gourock.com we specialize in the supply of custom netting designs and net constructions, including unique netting enclosures for sports and athletic uses.  Baseball and softball training activities generally include the usage and need for batting cage nets and enclosure nets for ball containment.  Batting cage nets are installed in both indoor and outdoor locations, and are really functional for batting practice, pitching training, and general containment for a wide assortment of baseball and softball practice drills.

In many instances, there are a number of customization necessities for the netting needed for batting cage purposes.  For instance, batting cage nets often need to be fabricated to customized shapes and sizes in order to properly fit a particular space or area.  This is a pretty typical situation for many indoor sports facility nets, or within batting cage framing structures that incorporate unique sizes and shapes.  Over the last 20 years Gourock.com has been a go-to source for the highest quality custom baseball and softball cage nets, netting enclosures, and custom baseball containment netting.

We utilize the highest quality DuPont® Type 66-728 Twisted-Knotted Nylon Netting for the fabrication of our custom batting cage nets and baseball net enclosures.  These nets and the materials are all 100% Made in the USA, with quick production turnaround and a very wide variety of specialized sizing and shape features to consider.  At Gourock.com we offer custom batting cage nets that can be produced from a spectrum of netting twine thicknesses:
  • #21 X 1-3/4" Knotted Nylon (2.0mm, 241 lb./tensile)
  • #36 X 1-3/4" Knotted Nylon (2.5mm, 381 lb./tensile)
  • #72 X 1-3/4" Knotted Nylon (3.5mm, 740 lb./tensile)
The #72 and #36 twine thicknesses are most typically selected for professional, commercial, team, organizational, and municipal, and higher-abrasion applications.  The #21 twine thickness is fantastic for private, residential, team, and all moderate abrasion applications.

Many of our customers at Gourock.com are individual sports training clients that require baseball and softball netting at their private location.  This is often home-users, local teams or clubs, families, and other similar general-use customers.  For most of our clients in these environments, the #21 X 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting is a really great and recommended selection for custom batting cage nets.  The #21 is a 2.0mm twine thickness, and the DuPont® nylon material has a very high abrasion resistance and very high tensile strength.  These features make the #21 an excellent choice due to high durability in a mid-weight thickness, creating a dependable combination of weight, function, and pricing level.

Over the last couple of weeks we have done a couple of unique custom baseball batting cage nets, and each one of them integrating a few different personalized design characteristics.  These specialized designs really benefit our customers that seek to maximize their available area and volume for batting practice and baseball training.  As you can see from the following production diagrams for these 2 recent baseball cage nets, some of these custom features include:
  • custom overall height, width, and length
  • tapered and angled enclosure shape
  • specialized center-ceiling ropes
  • 3' overlapping entrance door area
  • weighted rope bottom edge
  • #21 X 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting
  • #36 X 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting
