Indoor Basketball Nets, Court Divider Netting supplies divider and barrier nets for many gymnasiums and basketball courts.  Popular uses for netting installations in a court or gym environment are as divider panels between different game or practice areas, as barrier nets to contain basketballs within specific court areas, and protective nets to block lights, scoreboard, and spectator spaces from errant shots or rolling balls.  Many of our customers that require basketball court divider nets are scholastic or municipal applications, and there are also many colleges, professional, and commercial facilities that need barrier nets and protective netting as well.

Because the netting available from is custom prepared per-order, you can get very specifically made nets that will fit your particular area - according to your own particular sizes.  We use the highest quality DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon netting, which has many great benefits for indoor basketball court divider net installations.  The custom nylon nets from are:

  • prepared to your own specific sizes
  • very strong and dependable for longterm usage
  • lightweight and very user-friendly
  • available in a variety of mesh size and twine thickness combinations to best suit your preferences and barrier requirements
  • manufactured and shipped promptly with short lead-times and delivery right to your preferred location
  • perfect for all commercial, professional, scholastic, municipal, and residential installations
There are a couple of most typical and popular mesh sizes for basketball barrier nets from Gourock, which are the 1-3/4" mesh size, and the larger 4" mesh size.  We supply these netting productions built per-order to whatever dimensions you need for the job, and they are readily available to view, price, and order right through Gourock's Online Netting Calculator:

Gourock also has the ability to incorporate very customized features into the netting productions as well, aside from the sizing availability.  For instance, many times for commercial installations there are considerations for entrance or door areas, and also for particular edging or bordering characteristics that would benefit the installation approach.  Here is a helpful example from one of our professional commercial training facility customers, Shoot360.  Shoot360 is a high-end basketball training business that offers a very modern basketball training program.  The nylon barrier and divider nets that we build and ship for Shoot360 locations feature:
  • professional-grade #36 X 1-3/4" DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon netting
  • square mesh pattern nets, black in coloring
  • webbing and grommet edges, along with selective edges incorporating 5/16" braided polyester rope borders
  • specifically sized netting panels to line-up with the necessary training and court areas within the overall gymnasium
  • specifically located door/entrance areas in order to pass-through the divider nets from one training area to another
Most barrier nets and divider nets are installed using a cable-suspension method of hanging the netting.  This generally entails installing a series of tensioned wires/cables between walls or supports, and then clipping the netting to the cables using carabiner-style snap-hooks.  You can essentially view this technique as an "industrial curtain" approach.

As you can see from the example photos below, the Shoot360 nets also use the cable-suspension approach of netting installation.  From the example photos, you can also see what the sizing needs are, the incorporated door/entrance features, and also where the different types of border edges were sewn-in and located.  Should you have some specific features or details that you're interested in, feel free to contact and we can take a look at what you are aiming for, and submit a quote for the production and netting that we can prepare and supply for you.

Driveway Basketball Barrier Netting - Customer Photos

Many people have basketball hoops and shooting areas on their residential driveways, and for many different reasons they need to barricade and contain the balls within the surrounding space.  Not only does chasing missed shots and rolling balls waste a lot of time and energy, it also become pretty tedious as well!  Especially considering a lot of the driveway basketball practice areas are close to hills, woods, ravines, other buildings and structures, streams and ponds, and of course roads and traffic.

A great solution to alleviate the inconveniences of chasing arrant basketballs is to use a barrier netting setup around the playing area. supplies netting that works perfectly for this use, and there are numerous different options to consider hanging up.  Most typical for larger object containment (basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc.) is the 4" mesh knotted nylon netting.  For people that want to block larger objects as well some smaller balls as well (tennis, baseball, street hockey, softball, etc.) there is the 1-3/4" mesh knotted nylon netting that is fantastic to go with.  The nylon netting available from is 100% made in the USA, prepared per-order according to your own preferred custom dimensions, and is a very high-quality durable netting option for longterm installations.  You can take a look at these nets at this page of the Gourock website - and free netting samples are also available to mail out if requested.

Below are 4 photos that were forwarded to us from a recent customer that hung the nylon barrier netting around 3 sides of his backyard court area using the In-Ground Steel Poles that we also have available.  The netting he selected was the multipurpose #21 X 1-3/4" DuPont® twisted-knotted nylon netting, square mesh pattern with a rope bordering, in the dimensions of 10' X 70'.  He then used a series of the In-Ground Steel Poles and Sleeves spaced around the perimeter area to hang the netting from, and used Gourock Bungee Ball Straps to adjust the fit and tension of the netting to match his preferences.

As you can see, the black nylon netting and the black poles do a fantastic job of blending-into the background environment, which keeps the overall installation as minimally visible as possible.  And of course, the nylon netting and poles are designed to be durable and dependable for many years of consistent use and exposure.

This is a great-looking installation and court Bryan!  Thank you again very much - we appreciate it!

Basketball Barrier Net with Poles - Customer Photos supplies many different nets for customers that seek solutions to barricade and block basketballs within their practice area.  Using a basketball barrier netting setup at your location has many advantages over time, since you won't waste much time or energy chasing missed shots and errant balls.  In addition, there are a lot of general safety enhancements as well, considering that rolling basketballs may potentially enter a high traffic area, or wooded areas that may have situations with poison ivy, ticks, or other similar avoidances.

We have many options available to consider for the barrier netting used for basketball applications, both for private residential properties as well as for commercial, municipal, and organizational purposes.  One recent customer of ours sent over a couple photos of his basketball netting setup that he installed at his house.  His hoop and court area had a corner and a back-end that he needed to block errant balls from passing through, since there was a neighbor's fence on one side to avoid damaging, and then a small hill that caused the balls to roll an unnecessary distance from the court.  His preference was a netting solution that would be dependably durable over time, but also be as minimally visible as possible.  The best product match for his use was the #15 X 4" DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon netting, black color, square mesh with a rope bordering around the perimeter edges.

The #15 X 4" nylon netting is the best selection because it has a larger mesh size of 4" square, making it great for large objects like basketballs, soccer balls, and volleyballs.  Also, it has a thin twine thickness of 1.8mm.  So combining those 2 characteristics means that you have the largest mesh size option possible, made from the thinnest twine thickness available, which very much minimizes the overall amount of netting material within the entire area.  That makes it as "invisible" as can expected, but at the same time it retains a high durability due to the high tensile strength characteristic of nylon material.  The #15 is only 1.8mm thick, but has a tensile rating (breaking strength) of 144 lb./twine.  Very strong, very lightweight, and very dependable for basketball barrier nets.  100% Made in USA.

Our customer also utilized the In-Ground Steel Poles that we have available at to purchase.  He used a series of our poles, in conjunction with some of our Bungee Ball Straps, to get a very even and taught netting appearance throughout the entire area.  These are also great to moderate the amount of netting displacement, movement, and reaction to wind.

Here are a couple of photos submitted to us demonstrating the finished product and installation.

It looks really great John!!  Thanks again very much, we appreciate your business and feedback!!

Basketball Barrier Netting, Customer Photos supplies nylon netting for basketball barrier installations for all kinds of different users, ranging from large commercial clients to private residential customers.  There are a lot of really great options available, from a variety of twine thicknesses and mesh sizes - and since the nylon nets are prepared per-order, you have the ability to order any sizing needed for your project.  We have some good netting type selections to take a look at on the Basketball Barrier Netting section of the Gourock site:

One of the most popular selections for home-use and commercial-use basketball barrier netting is the 4" mesh size twisted-knotted nylon netting.  This is a black-colored, square mesh pattern netting - constructed from the DuPont® type 66-728 nylon, and is 100% Made in the USA.  There are a couple of options for twine thickness, so that you can go with a lighter-weight net (#15, 1.8mm) or a heavier-weight (#30, 2.3mm) depending on your preferences and expected usage.
Gourock prepares either of those netting options either with or without a 5/16" rope bordering installed around the perimeter edges - so you can have the material supplied as "bulk" cut sections, or as finished and bordered netting panels.

The 4" nylon netting works really well when installed between Gourock's In-Ground Steel Poles, which is a pole/support system that utilizes a ground sleeve/anchor and 2" pole components.  You can view details and installation details about these netting installation poles here:

Many people need barrier netting around their property, driveways, or sport-courts in order to contain basketballs within the play area.  This is often due to safety reasons (for instance, keeping balls from rolling into traffic, or out of wooded areas that may have ticks), for convenience (keeping balls from rolling down hills or driveways), and for consideration of neighbors or surrounding property.  There are 4 different heights available, which are 8', 10', 12', and 14'.  The netting used to hang between the poles can be any length - so you can get as much barrier netting coverage area as you prefer - spacing the poles every 10'-12', which is the recommended placement interval.

Here is a series of photos from one of our recent customers that utilized Gourock's steel poles and nylon netting to complete his basketball barrier netting setup at his home.  You can click on the images to see them larger - and you can get a good idea of how minimally visual all of the materials and poles are.
He went with the #15 X 4" knotted nylon netting with a perimeter rope bordering installed.  And the netting is connected/spanned between three of the 10' in-ground poles.  And you can also see a personalized addition that he made to increase the tension/fit of the netting by designing a general guy-wire support from some rope, stakes, and hooks.

Looks really great John - thank you again!

Custom Netting for Sports Training Facilities

Sports training facilities and athletic stadiums generally require custom netting in order to solve a variety of safety and protective situations.  For instance, many indoor sports training facilities require netting in order block or barricade certain areas of the space for individual practice zones.  In other cases, there are nets that are needed as a barrier to protect spectators or bystanders from flying balls or gaining equipment.  And other times the netting is necessary to protect structural elements of the facility area itself - for example lighting and seating barrier applications, scoreboard protection, and parking lot or vendor area protection needs.  In fact, there are many unique and individual needs for netting - and every sports stadium or training facility has its own set of situations that are very well solved with the installation of customized netting productions available from

Throughout the years, we at Gourock have supplied many, many training facilities and sports stadiums with their customized netting solutions ranging from indoor multi-sport commercial establishments to major universities and professional stadiums, as well as upstart private sports business and municipal/scholastic installations. supplies a wide variety of mesh sizes and twine thicknesses, all made per-order according to customized sizing and shape needs.  The mesh and twine options for the netting selections will be applicable for different types of sports and uses.  For instance if a gymnasium or sports facility is primarily concerned with barrier netting for larger object sports like basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, or dodgeball - then a bigger mesh size netting option like the 4" opening is a popular selection.  Alternatively, many sports facilities also need barrier and containment netting for smaller-sized sports balls as well such as baseball, tennis, softball, field hockey, and lacrosse.  In this case the 1-3/4" mesh size nylon netting is a good considerations.  And then going even smaller, for training facilities that also want to include sports like golf, Gourock has 3/4" mesh netting options available as well.

And then, aside from the options of mesh size that you can consider for your sports barrier netting needs, there are different twine thickness available to go with as well.  Lighter weight (thinner) twine thicknesses like #12 or #15 are great for general containment, or light/moderate abrasion situations.  Mid-range twine thicknesses like #21 and #30 are the most commonly selected for all-purpose situations.  And then thicker twine thicknesses like #36 and #72 are generally popular for netting installations that expect to undergo a fairly consistent level of high-abrasion wear and impacts over time.
Gourock does mail out free netting samples for your research and information, so if you do want to get some samples of the materials that you are considering, feel free to drop over a message through our contact page with your mailing address to get the samples mailed your way (USA locations).

Through our Online Netting Calculator you can very easily price and order netting built to most any dimensions that you require - it's a very refined and efficient process that allows for quick ordering and sourcing of custom netting prepared to your own specific sizing needs.  But for many commercial installations and at sports training facilities, there are very unique sizing and shape requirements that our customers need for their netting productions.  For instance, many baseball and softball stadiums need some of the nets to incorporate tapers or angles in the netting shape so that the material can fill-in odd-shaped areas.  Or in some cases there need to be special finishing or production features incorporated into the final design - such as entry door areas, particular bordering necessities, or internal wind-lines or attachment ropes that run through the netting in certain locations. has a lot of experience supplying very customized netting designs and shapes/sizes - and feel free to send us over a request through our contact page (you can upload diagrams, images, and details as needed) and we can get started on a quotation for your particular goals.

Throughout this company blog as well as on the site we have many examples of custom netting designs and productions that have been shipped out over the years.  Here are 3 recent examples form the previous few weeks that demonstrate some of the very specific custom netting jobs that have been delivered and installed at 3 different types of sports training facilities.  These are all very different, and are each for unique situations - and they help in demonstrating some of the custom nylon netting productions available through

Driveway Basketball Court Barrier Netting supplies custom netting products that are used for a very wide and diverse range of applications.  One of the very popular uses for our netting is as a barrier against basketballs that roll away from driveway basketball hoops at a private residence.  There are many customers of ours that have a hoop or court area located on their property or driveway - and they are constantly chasing basketballs that roll away from the practice space due to missed shots, or just from general playing.  Sometimes the driveway or property is on a hill, which means their missed shots roll away for quite a distance!  Alternatively, there are instances where errant basketballs have the potential of rolling into a street, or live traffic, or perhaps into the woods or a pond.  All of these are situations that are best avoided by using a barrier net to contain missed shots and rolling/errant balls. has many netting options available that are fantastic for basketball barrier uses, for all types of installation areas including private residences, schools and municipalities, teams and organizations, as well as commercial and professional arenas.  The most popular and recommended selections that we supply for basketball barrier netting are in mesh sizes of 1-3/4", 2", and 4".  There are various twine thicknesses available for each mesh size, and essentially any sort of completed dimensions can be ordered, produced, and shipped to you.  All of those mesh sizes are very functional for basketball barrier uses - and most people choose the netting they want to go with based on additional preferences such as also having the ability to block smaller objects as well, considerations of thicker and thinner twine for visibility or abrasion/wear-and-tear, and whether or not there are concerns with hands/feet being able to go through the mesh.  We have some great recommendations available to view and price/order on this page of the Gourock site.

Barrier netting behind or to the side of driveway basketball hoop and practice areas has always been a popular request for us here at Gourock.  There are always different sizes and situations involved with each particular customer, and in many cases people already have some sort of installation structure available (or being constructed) to hang and suspend the netting from.  However there are many people that not only need the netting, but they also require a system and solution for hanging the nets up.  Fortunately through you have access not only to really functional netting selections, but we also have an In-Ground Steel Pole installation option to consider as well.

The In-Ground Steel Poles use a sectional pole design as well as an in-ground mounting anchor/sleeve that are assembled together and used as standalone supports for barrier nets.  There are 4 different finished sizes to go with, which are 8', 10', 12', and 14' in height.  And since the poles are sectional in design, some customers have opted to eliminate pole sections and achieve shorter heights or other custom preferences.  There is good online information about these poles available on this page of the Gourock site, and we also offer the following video guideline about them as well:

Here are a couple of recent examples of basketball barrier nets that were ordered to custom sizing, along with in-ground steel pole components, that were installed at residential locations.  Both feature basketball hoops on driveways - but use different netting mesh/twine sizes based on personal preferences.  Here are a few of photos provided to us by our customers who reported great results and a lot of product satisfaction from their finished projects.

Example 1:
This is a private residence that opted to use #21 X 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting (square mesh, rope bordered) for the barrier netting.  One of the nets is 12' X 24' and is installed behind the hoop area - suspended between 3 of the 12' tall poles.  The second net is from the same material, but built 4' X 22' and is suspended between 3 of the ground sleeves/anchors that are using only the 33" and 23" pole sections (to accomplish a shorter overall height for the shorter netting).
The tall netting is very typical in size and installation for a lot of basketball barrier nets that are installed behind a driveway basketball hoop.  The shorter netting is more unique since its purpose is only to prevent rolling balls that may come off of the side of the court area and over into the street.  The netting is tensioned/tightened to the poles using Gourock's Bungee Ball Straps.

Example 2:
This is a private residence that needed to only block basketballs from rolling down their driveway and into the adjacent street.  They wanted the lightest and least-visible netting possible, which is the #15 X 4" knotted nylon netting (square mesh, with a rope border).  This net was 5' X 25' in sizing, and also suspended across the driveway between a pair of the 8' poles/anchors - however in order to get the poles down to a shorter overall height they eliminated the 23" pole section from the assembly. A few bungee straps are also used, and they opted to weigh-down the bottom of the netting with some bricks that they had on-hand.

Indoor Netting for Commercial Sports Training Facilities

During the autumn and winter seasons, many parts of the country rely on indoor training facilities for their sports practices and workouts.  Some popular indoor facilities that supplies with netting concentrate on multisport training opportunities including golf, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, floor hockey, football, and basketball.

Generally speaking, using barrier netting throughout the indoor area is pretty important for a successful and safe commercial sports training environment.  Netting protects athletes and spectators from moving balls and equipment, and the netting also is used to protect structural elements of the building itself including lighting, entrances/windows, ventilation infrastructure, and finished walls or construction.  Depending on the sizes of the objects that need to be contained or blocked, the netting that gets installed within these areas can be fabricated from a few different mesh sizes - and in a few different ways of being prepared.

For instance, say a baseball and softball training facility wants to use barrier netting to protect their lights, and also around the turf area of their practice field.  In that case, a 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting is the way to go.  If that same facility says that they will also be doing soccer drills, well the netting should stay at the same mesh size because it will still need to block the baseballs - but will naturally work great for larger objects like soccer balls.
However - if that facility is also planning on offering training areas for golf, well then the mesh size needs to get down to a 3/4" so that the golf balls are properly contained.  And then, since that 3/4" mesh works great for the golf balls it will naturally function well for the larger baseballs, softballs, and soccer balls.  The best tip regarding mesh size is to determine what the smallest object is that needs to be contained - and then utilize that mesh for the area.  Many indoor facilities actually use a combination of different mesh sizes for various areas of their overall space - since its possible that the golf is only being done in one particular section, whereas the soccer and baseball/softball are concentrated in other areas.  The takeaway is that every facility is different and has its own unique set of parameters and owner preferences, but the netting itself can certainly be prepared to size and per order by and then shipped right out.

Aside from determining which netting twine thickness and mesh size will be best suited for the job, there is also the design of the netting itself.  In this context the design is referring to how the mesh is created and prepared - and the choices are typically between a series of individual 2-dimensional netting panels or an overall larger 3-dimensional enclosure that covers a large area.  We at are unable to specifically advise which approach to go with, since it really is determined by the building, the installer/contractor, and the intended design of the space.  Many times the most optimal approach selected is a series of individual nets, which is a great way to go and is very intuitive.  Gourock produces the nets to whatever particular 2 dimensions needed, and you can view dozens of examples of these nets through this blog and on the site.  For many other facilities the more preferred approach is to have a customized enclosure net produced that will cover the whole area with netting, including all 4 sides and the top ceiling.

For these 2 recent examples of commercial training facility nets that were manufactured and shipped out over the last few weeks show a couple general examples of each approach.  Through Gourock you can have nets made from 100% USA Made Nylon Netting and the finest hand-craftsmanship, shipped direct to your location.  Once you have a relative idea of the netting that you're after, certainly feel free to send over a message with your request or information right through our online contact page and we can get working on the netting solution for you.

Another New Netting Choice Available - 4" Mesh Nylon offers a wide range of netting products, including a variety of mesh sizes, twine thickness, and materials.  There are some great selections to consider for all types of different sports netting, commercial/industrial applications, barrier nets, and various multipurpose netting uses.
One of the most dependable and popular materials is the DuPont® Type 66-728 Twisted Knotted Nylon.  Gourock has consistently supplied this in mesh sizes of 3/4", 1", and 1-3/4" - and we have now added a larger 4" mesh size to the available options.

Completely Made in the USA, the #15 X 4" knotted nylon netting is a black colored material that is supplied in a square mesh pattern.  It can be supplied to most any particular rectangular/square dimensions that your require, and either as bulk netting itself or with a perimeter rope bordering sewn-in (5/16" Dacron® rope).  You can take a look at the 4" Nylon Netting By-The-Square-Foot Here, or can view some Common/General Dimensions Here.
This 4" mesh netting is great for:
  • Soccer Barrier Netting
  • Basketball Barrier Netting
  • Volleyball Barrier Nets
  • Dodgeball Containment Nets
  • Agricultural and Garden Netting
  • General Multipurpose Netting Uses (+4" diameter options)
Another great use for the #15 X 4" netting is for the Ceiling Barrier Netting for indoor basketball/volleyball/soccer applications.  It is a wider mesh opening than baseball netting (which is a 1-3/4" mesh size) which mean less disruption of your overhead lighting, but is a great and functional mesh size to safely contain balls and objects that are 4" in diameter and larger.  It's also a very lightweight netting option, but maintains a high tensile strength of 144 lbs./twine.

With more than 300,000 square feet devoted to athletic activities, events and entertainment, Bracket Town, the NCAA’s Final Four fan festival, provides an affordable opportunity for locals and out-of-towners to take part in the championship tournament.

Staged across three halls of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans, Bracket Town comprises four days of scheduled and ongoing activities.
“It’s a neat, family friendly event in that there is so much do for fans of all ages,” says Joe Dunn, NCAA associate director of championships and alliances. “It is an opportunity for us to provide an affordable experience to the local community.”
Among the activities to participate in at Bracket Town are free daily youth clinics, autograph sessions with coaches and former players, a 3-on-3 basketball competition, a home run derby, fencing matches, a slam dunk court (with goals set at various heights), and a variety of high-tech, interactive games.
“There’s a nice mix throughout the entire footprint of not only March Madness and NCAA basketball, but a sampling of our other 23 sports,” says Dunn.
Formerly known as “Hoop City,” the event was rebranded as “Bracket Town refreshed by Coca-Cola Zero” in 2010. “We made a serious investment in 2010 to improve the look and feel of the event,” says Dunn.

Basketball Barrier Net With Poles

The Home Barrier Netting System that is available at is a really functional solution for people that need to block/contain balls and objects within different areas of their property.  Consisting of a dependable ground anchor and steel pole installation, with netting panels clipped to steel attachment points, there are hundreds of potential applications for the Home Barrier Poles.  For some really good context on the materials and components, check out this page of the Gourock site (click here), and also this previously written article (click here) that helps demonstrate the assembly of the poles themselves.

Some very popular applications for this combination of netting and poles include barrier set-ups for baseball & softball, soccer, basketball, lacrosse & hockey, volleyball, golf, and many other multipurpose uses.  Generally speaking, if you are a person that is looking for a solid netting installation system that is an alternative to a permanently-installed post/cable/footing approach - then the Home Barrier Netting System is a really good option to consider.

A recent customer in Texas contacted us seeking information on how he could utilize the Home Barrier Poles and some nylon netting panels in a way that would fit his unique requirements.  Basically, he has a very nice basketball hoop setup on the edge of his driveway - but the way that the property dropped-away behind the hoop was causing all kinds of inconvenient situations with missed shots and basketballs rolling away from their practice area.  In addition to the annoyance of consistently chasing and retrieving basketballs that were rolling away, the lawn area behind the driveway was being destroyed and ripped-up from the excess wear-and-tear from the increased foot traffic on it.  He tried out a couple of potential solutions, which were a small "catch net" that was sourced from a department store - along with layering some burlap material over the worn lawn, however neither accomplished what they needed to.

Here is the photo of the basketball hoop area with generic-net and burlap covering that was forwarded to us while we discussed the matter on the phone:

Using and installing the Home Barrier Poles along with some custom-sized nylon netting panels was the approach used to get things solved for this customer.  The primary characteristics that needed to be considered were that the property grade was quite uneven from one side to the other, and that he wanted to get a fairly wide coverage area for the netting while keeping the overall setup pretty "minimal" as well.  But these things were no problem at all to facilitate.  The way that a solution was packaged for him included:

  • different height poles installed to match the grade as closely as possible, which were a collection of 8' poles and a 10' pole where the property dropped lower.
  • different dimension custom nylon nets that would help alleviate the effect of the slope/height differences, while still getting barrier coverage all the way to the ground.
  • breaking-up the barrier/containment area into two separate pole/netting areas which would allow him to make the fit and installation adjustments to the left and right sides independently - and to his own preferences.
  • using the #21 X 1-3/4" square mesh knotted DuPont® nylon netting, with 5/16" Dacron® rope bordering, for optimal longterm outdoor use for many years.
A couple of days ago he had forwarded over the back and front views of his initial installation of the materials, and he reported back great success achieving his goals.  He opted to source a package of the netting installation bungee-balls that we have available so that he could make a few more netting attachments and installation adjustments - but other than that he was able to get rid of the generic 'catch net' that was on there and should start seeing his worn lawn recover nicely!  Here are the images sent over to us, and hopefully they help you out with a bit more context for some of the barrier netting solutions that you can source through Gourock:

Additional Basketball-Shot Nets

A couple of months ago we had posted an article about some custom nylon nets that were shipped out for a basketball-shot application, and you can reference that earlier post here.  The product and material has worked out very well for this customer, and we have facilitated the netting design and production/shipment of a new batch of these nets within the last week.  The particular purpose for the custom netting is to serve as a side-barrier for a basketball-shot setup that they install off of the side of their promotional van during different events and assemblies.  In this latest run of product, the nylon netting was created to match-up with a specific set of tapers and dimensions in order to functionally fit within their installation framing.

The most typically selected netting option for general-use sporting applications, including basketball barrier, is the #21 X 1-3/4" DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon netting, and usually it is bordered around the edge meshes with a 5/16" braided Dacron® rope sewn-in.  These are the materials that have been used for all of these basketball-shot nets in the past, as well with the latest run of product as well.  Our customer also has 2" steel rings sewn-in on the upper corners of each netting panel, which are used to hook/connect the netting to their installation framing.

At we supply a huge variety of custom netting solutions for a really wide spectrum of uses and sizes.  Basically, every single day is something new and unique!  If you have a situation that requires some specific netting sizes and/or shapes - certainly contact us and forward over your details and we can take a look at it for you.  There are netting and material solutions available from Gourock for nearly all inquiries - and it would be great to hear from you!
