Volleyball Barrier Netting

Volleyball courts and volleyball facilities often need to use barrier netting around them to contain volleyballs from leaving the practice and playing areas.  Gourock.com supplies nylon netting that is perfectly suited for volleyball barrier installations, and can have the netting prepared according to any particular custom dimensions that you require for the job.  Volleyball barrier netting is generally a bit of a larger mesh size netting, such as a 4" mesh size material.  A mesh size like this functions very well to contain and block larger sports objects like volleyballs, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, and dodge balls.  But in combination with the functionality, the larger mesh size of 4" means that you can minimize the amount of netting within the entire area - which keeps the netting minimally visible, and as lightweight as possible.

There are a couple of twine thicknesses available in the 4" mesh size nylon netting that Gourock supplies for volleyball barrier netting uses, and they are the #15 (1.7mm) and the heavier #30 (2.3mm).  Both are fantastic for volleyball containment netting uses, and have their own set of preferred features.  For instance, the #15 is most popular for indoor installations because there is no detrimental effect from UV exposure, and the thinner twine thickness minimizes the amount of material pre square foot (which means that the most amount of light can shine though, and the netting is minimally visible).  The #30 is more popular for longterm outdoor installations, or for areas that expect higher amounts of wear/abrasion - such as commercial or high-traffic areas.
That said - both the #15 and the #30 can and are installed in both outdoor and indoor installations, and you can view/price/order them from this page of the Gourock site:
http://www.gourock.com/custom-volleyball-netting.html

Many schools, training facilities, and commercial sports businesses require volleyball barrier netting to surround their individual courts from each other, as well as to block balls from passing into spectator areas.  Here are a couple of example photos from Indoor Sand in Northwood, OH - a Gourock customer that installed the #15 X 4" knotted nylon netting for their volleyball containment purposes.  You can check out their establishment at www.indoorsand.com - and thanks again, we appreciate your business!

Indoor Basketball Nets, Court Divider Netting

Gourock.com supplies divider and barrier nets for many gymnasiums and basketball courts.  Popular uses for netting installations in a court or gym environment are as divider panels between different game or practice areas, as barrier nets to contain basketballs within specific court areas, and protective nets to block lights, scoreboard, and spectator spaces from errant shots or rolling balls.  Many of our customers that require basketball court divider nets are scholastic or municipal applications, and there are also many colleges, professional, and commercial facilities that need barrier nets and protective netting as well.

Because the netting available from Gourock.com is custom prepared per-order, you can get very specifically made nets that will fit your particular area - according to your own particular sizes.  We use the highest quality DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon netting, which has many great benefits for indoor basketball court divider net installations.  The custom nylon nets from Gourock.com are:

  • prepared to your own specific sizes
  • very strong and dependable for longterm usage
  • lightweight and very user-friendly
  • available in a variety of mesh size and twine thickness combinations to best suit your preferences and barrier requirements
  • manufactured and shipped promptly with short lead-times and delivery right to your preferred location
  • perfect for all commercial, professional, scholastic, municipal, and residential installations
There are a couple of most typical and popular mesh sizes for basketball barrier nets from Gourock, which are the 1-3/4" mesh size, and the larger 4" mesh size.  We supply these netting productions built per-order to whatever dimensions you need for the job, and they are readily available to view, price, and order right through Gourock's Online Netting Calculator:

Gourock also has the ability to incorporate very customized features into the netting productions as well, aside from the sizing availability.  For instance, many times for commercial installations there are considerations for entrance or door areas, and also for particular edging or bordering characteristics that would benefit the installation approach.  Here is a helpful example from one of our professional commercial training facility customers, Shoot360.  Shoot360 is a high-end basketball training business that offers a very modern basketball training program.  The nylon barrier and divider nets that we build and ship for Shoot360 locations feature:
  • professional-grade #36 X 1-3/4" DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon netting
  • square mesh pattern nets, black in coloring
  • webbing and grommet edges, along with selective edges incorporating 5/16" braided polyester rope borders
  • specifically sized netting panels to line-up with the necessary training and court areas within the overall gymnasium
  • specifically located door/entrance areas in order to pass-through the divider nets from one training area to another
Most barrier nets and divider nets are installed using a cable-suspension method of hanging the netting.  This generally entails installing a series of tensioned wires/cables between walls or supports, and then clipping the netting to the cables using carabiner-style snap-hooks.  You can essentially view this technique as an "industrial curtain" approach.

As you can see from the example photos below, the Shoot360 nets also use the cable-suspension approach of netting installation.  From the example photos, you can also see what the sizing needs are, the incorporated door/entrance features, and also where the different types of border edges were sewn-in and located.  Should you have some specific features or details that you're interested in, feel free to contact Gourock.com and we can take a look at what you are aiming for, and submit a quote for the production and netting that we can prepare and supply for you.

Basketball Barrier Netting, Customer Photos

Gourock.com supplies nylon netting for basketball barrier installations for all kinds of different users, ranging from large commercial clients to private residential customers.  There are a lot of really great options available, from a variety of twine thicknesses and mesh sizes - and since the nylon nets are prepared per-order, you have the ability to order any sizing needed for your project.  We have some good netting type selections to take a look at on the Basketball Barrier Netting section of the Gourock site:

One of the most popular selections for home-use and commercial-use basketball barrier netting is the 4" mesh size twisted-knotted nylon netting.  This is a black-colored, square mesh pattern netting - constructed from the DuPont® type 66-728 nylon, and is 100% Made in the USA.  There are a couple of options for twine thickness, so that you can go with a lighter-weight net (#15, 1.8mm) or a heavier-weight (#30, 2.3mm) depending on your preferences and expected usage.
Gourock prepares either of those netting options either with or without a 5/16" rope bordering installed around the perimeter edges - so you can have the material supplied as "bulk" cut sections, or as finished and bordered netting panels.

The 4" nylon netting works really well when installed between Gourock's In-Ground Steel Poles, which is a pole/support system that utilizes a ground sleeve/anchor and 2" pole components.  You can view details and installation details about these netting installation poles here:

Many people need barrier netting around their property, driveways, or sport-courts in order to contain basketballs within the play area.  This is often due to safety reasons (for instance, keeping balls from rolling into traffic, or out of wooded areas that may have ticks), for convenience (keeping balls from rolling down hills or driveways), and for consideration of neighbors or surrounding property.  There are 4 different heights available, which are 8', 10', 12', and 14'.  The netting used to hang between the poles can be any length - so you can get as much barrier netting coverage area as you prefer - spacing the poles every 10'-12', which is the recommended placement interval.

Here is a series of photos from one of our recent customers that utilized Gourock's steel poles and nylon netting to complete his basketball barrier netting setup at his home.  You can click on the images to see them larger - and you can get a good idea of how minimally visual all of the materials and poles are.
He went with the #15 X 4" knotted nylon netting with a perimeter rope bordering installed.  And the netting is connected/spanned between three of the 10' in-ground poles.  And you can also see a personalized addition that he made to increase the tension/fit of the netting by designing a general guy-wire support from some rope, stakes, and hooks.

Looks really great John - thank you again!

Custom Conveyor Belt Netting

Containment and protective barrier netting for conveyor belt applications is available to order from Gourock.com according to your own custom dimensions and sizing. Conveyor belt safety netting is a helpful solution for protecting objects that may possibly be ejected off the traveling line in some fashion, but containing them on the belt or by blocking them from falling underneath the belt.

Conveyor belt containment and protective netting is popular for industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, and logistical/shipping types of locations and installations. Many nets are installed vertically around conveyor belts, to keep objects contained as they travel. Whereas other nets are hung or suspended underneath conveyor belts to catch objects that may fall off or slip through the belt.

There are many different mesh and twine sizes available for conveyor belt containment netting purposes, ranging from small 1/4” mesh sizes all the way up to larger 4” mesh sizes. Depending on the sizes and weights of the typical objects/parcels that you are looking to contain within the conveyor belt area, you can select the strength of material and mesh size that will be the best fit for you. Netting can be ordered according to most any specific dimensions or sizing that you require for the project.

Some historically popular conveyor belt containment netting selections are 1/4” polyester mesh, 3/4” knotted nylon netting, and 1-3/4” knotted nylon netting. Whether you are seeking replacement conveyor guard nets, or passive overhead protective nets, we have dependable custom net options for your conveyor belt safety applications.

Driveway Basketball Court Barrier Netting

Gourock.com supplies custom netting products that are used for a very wide and diverse range of applications.  One of the very popular uses for our netting is as a barrier against basketballs that roll away from driveway basketball hoops at a private residence.  There are many customers of ours that have a hoop or court area located on their property or driveway - and they are constantly chasing basketballs that roll away from the practice space due to missed shots, or just from general playing.  Sometimes the driveway or property is on a hill, which means their missed shots roll away for quite a distance!  Alternatively, there are instances where errant basketballs have the potential of rolling into a street, or live traffic, or perhaps into the woods or a pond.  All of these are situations that are best avoided by using a barrier net to contain missed shots and rolling/errant balls.

Gourock.com has many netting options available that are fantastic for basketball barrier uses, for all types of installation areas including private residences, schools and municipalities, teams and organizations, as well as commercial and professional arenas.  The most popular and recommended selections that we supply for basketball barrier netting are in mesh sizes of 1-3/4", 2", and 4".  There are various twine thicknesses available for each mesh size, and essentially any sort of completed dimensions can be ordered, produced, and shipped to you.  All of those mesh sizes are very functional for basketball barrier uses - and most people choose the netting they want to go with based on additional preferences such as also having the ability to block smaller objects as well, considerations of thicker and thinner twine for visibility or abrasion/wear-and-tear, and whether or not there are concerns with hands/feet being able to go through the mesh.  We have some great recommendations available to view and price/order on this page of the Gourock site.

Barrier netting behind or to the side of driveway basketball hoop and practice areas has always been a popular request for us here at Gourock.  There are always different sizes and situations involved with each particular customer, and in many cases people already have some sort of installation structure available (or being constructed) to hang and suspend the netting from.  However there are many people that not only need the netting, but they also require a system and solution for hanging the nets up.  Fortunately through Gourock.com you have access not only to really functional netting selections, but we also have an In-Ground Steel Pole installation option to consider as well.

The In-Ground Steel Poles use a sectional pole design as well as an in-ground mounting anchor/sleeve that are assembled together and used as standalone supports for barrier nets.  There are 4 different finished sizes to go with, which are 8', 10', 12', and 14' in height.  And since the poles are sectional in design, some customers have opted to eliminate pole sections and achieve shorter heights or other custom preferences.  There is good online information about these poles available on this page of the Gourock site, and we also offer the following video guideline about them as well:

Here are a couple of recent examples of basketball barrier nets that were ordered to custom sizing, along with in-ground steel pole components, that were installed at residential locations.  Both feature basketball hoops on driveways - but use different netting mesh/twine sizes based on personal preferences.  Here are a few of photos provided to us by our customers who reported great results and a lot of product satisfaction from their finished projects.

Example 1:
This is a private residence that opted to use #21 X 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting (square mesh, rope bordered) for the barrier netting.  One of the nets is 12' X 24' and is installed behind the hoop area - suspended between 3 of the 12' tall poles.  The second net is from the same material, but built 4' X 22' and is suspended between 3 of the ground sleeves/anchors that are using only the 33" and 23" pole sections (to accomplish a shorter overall height for the shorter netting).
The tall netting is very typical in size and installation for a lot of basketball barrier nets that are installed behind a driveway basketball hoop.  The shorter netting is more unique since its purpose is only to prevent rolling balls that may come off of the side of the court area and over into the street.  The netting is tensioned/tightened to the poles using Gourock's Bungee Ball Straps.

Example 2:
This is a private residence that needed to only block basketballs from rolling down their driveway and into the adjacent street.  They wanted the lightest and least-visible netting possible, which is the #15 X 4" knotted nylon netting (square mesh, with a rope border).  This net was 5' X 25' in sizing, and also suspended across the driveway between a pair of the 8' poles/anchors - however in order to get the poles down to a shorter overall height they eliminated the 23" pole section from the assembly. A few bungee straps are also used, and they opted to weigh-down the bottom of the netting with some bricks that they had on-hand.

Leaf Barrier Netting and Debris Nets, Bocce Court Example

Many of our customers that are seeking custom netting solutions are doing so because they are dealing with leaves and debris covering various areas of their property or land.  Some pretty commonplace examples of this type of situation are nets that are blocking leaves from ponds, pools, lawns, or property boundaries.  At Gourock.com we have many different available options for your consideration that are very effective for leaf, pond, and debris barrier - and you can view this part of the site for more information on the generally recommended netting selections, as well as their pricing and production options.

One of the smallest mesh size offerings that we have available is the 1/4" polyester debris material - and this is a great option to consider for block smaller-sized leaves and general debris-type objects.  The 1/4" polyester fabric is very well suited for long-term outdoor exposure, it has a high resiliency against tearing and/or punctures, and is a lightweight fabric that is easy to work with so that you can accomplish your goal with dependable results.

Recently we assisted a customer that was tired of picking up and raking leaves out of his home bocce court in Pennsylvania.  The court measures 12' X 48' in total area, and his primary objective was to use the 1/4" polyester netting with a rope bordering sewn-around the edges, along with Gourock's Bungee Ball Straps, to suspend the netting over the top of the court for all times that it is not being used.  He wanted the netting to catch and contain all of the falling leaves from surrounding trees, and prevent them from actually accumulating inside his court and on-top of the playing surface.  This would mean he could dramatically reduce the amount of time set aside for prep and cleanup of the court area, and increase the amount of actual playing time.

Our customer opted to order the material slightly wider than needed, in order to have enough material on-hand to adjust the fit and installation as preferred - so he went for a 13' X 48' rope bordered panel, built from the 1/4" polyester.  He noted that he's still tinkering with the suspension and hanging method he most prefers for the netting, but that the end result of blocking leaves from the court surface is functioning very, very well and he is quite happy with the results.  He forwarded over some example photos of his bocce court both with and without the barrier netting installed - and it looks like a very nice and functional finished project!

Thanks again David, looks great - and we appreciate your business and feedback very much!

Hardware & Accessories for Netting Installation to Tensioned Cables

Gourock.com offers a good selection of cabling hardware and associated products used for hanging and installing netting from a tensioned cable.  Spanning a steel cable between rigid posts/structures, tightening the cable so it is level, and then clipping the edging of the netting panels to that cable is a very classic and functional approach to barrier netting installations.  It's also a popular method for batting cage netting installations, and for nets that are dividing courts, protecting ceilings, or when the netting needs to slide back-and-forth on the wire (curtain-style).
There is some general context and guidance on this method available on this page of the Gourock website, as well as throughout this company blog, and on this available video.

As you are doing your research into netting installation, we offer these individual video spotlights for each particular component of a tensioned cable installation, and each of these products are available to source right here at Gourock.com

Baseball & Softball Field Backtop Stadium Netting

Barrier nets and protective netting panels are generally considered pretty imperative components of a baseball or softball field construction.  For instance, barrier netting is used to block and protect spectators from foul balls, and is installed around the perimeter of the outfield fence to contain home run balls within the playing area (avoiding hitting vehicles or pedestrians outside of the complex).  Other very necessary and popular netting installations at baseball fields is the containment and barrier netting used on backstops.  Using Gourock.com you can source the right baseball and softball backstop and barrier netting for your field and/or backstop construction.  Gourock supplies custom nylon nets that are prepared and shipped to you according to most any particular dimensions that you require.  There are convenient online netting calculators on the site that are used to efficiently and quickly price and order custom nets, with a few different construction features to consider.

Baseball and softball barrier netting is generally recommended to be the 1-3/4" knotted nylon netting, with a 5/16" polyester rope bordering sewn-in around the perimeter edges.  There are a couple of recommended twine thicknesses to consider, which are the #21 (2.0mm) and the #36 (2.5mm).  The reasons for these selections and features are:
  • 1-3/4" mesh size is the best match for baseball/softball impacts, while still remaining as large as possible to minimize the visual nature of the material when hanging.
  • The rope bordering significantly reinforces and strengthens the edges of the netting panel, allowing for dependable connections to the installation cables/wires/tubing/etc. for the long-haul.
  • The two different twine thicknesses allow for a choice between more general-use barrier installations and more high-abrasion installations.  For instance, the #21 is great for foul-line nets - whereas the #36 is great for the backstop nets.
  • All materials are black, bonded against moisture, and UV stabilized for full-time outdoor installations for many years.
Often, baseball field barrier nets and backstop nets require some additional custom features to be integrated into their design as well.  For instance, there are many instances noted on our Gourock site and this company blog of netting panels that require shapes or tapered edges.  Also very typical for custom nets that are being installed at sports facilities is a construction add-on known as a "rope riblines".  These are additional 5/16" polyester ropes that run through the inner area of the netting, in addition to running along the entire perimeter of the mesh.  Riblines are reinforcement features - meaning, they are added to the netting to line-up with the structural elements that the material is being connected to (wires, cables, tubing, poles, railings, etc.).  At Gourock.com we often see nets with riblines being sourced by commercial organizations, schools/municipalities, universities, and other larger-scale netting installations that put a premium value on maximizing the ease-of-use and overall longterm durability of the overall netting installation.

Here is a great example from a couple of weeks ago that demonstrates exactly this sort of netting supply.  This is a large backstop net produced for a school district in Texas for an outdoor installation.  They opted for the thicker netting material, #36 X 1-3/4" twisted-knotted DuPont type 66-728 nylon, as well as a series of both vertical and horizontal rope riblines running through the netting to make their attachments and connections to the existing backstop structure (as well as perimeter ropes around the edges).  And in addition to that, two of the netting panels also incorporate tapered edges to line-up with the guy-wire cables that are also already existing at the location as well.
If you have something along these lines that you'd like to get a quote on, feel free to forward your request through our contact page and we can assist!

University of Wisconsin Netting Installation

The University of Wisconsin Recreational Sports Dept. is one of our very appreciated customers that has just recently wrapped-up a new netting installation within one of their training facilities.  The issue to be examined and remedied was a typical situation that many organizations face, which is to protect lighting and ceiling components from various objects that may impact them.  In this case, the UW needed to add a layer of protection across the entire span of one of their gymnasiums.

The solution for their needs was a series of netting panels built from the #21 X 1-3/4" DuPont® Twisted-Knotted Nylon Netting that were each constructed in a square mesh pattern, and bordered with 5/16" Dacron® Rope Borders.  The first part of the job required a couple of 13'-7" X 88' netting panels, and then shortly followed by 8 more netting panels that featured dimensions that were all around 24' X 44'.  The second round of netting also included some interior rope riblines that were fairly specifically located in order to exactly match the steel wires/cables that were already in-place at the gym (which were the connection/installation points for the netting panels).  You can view the details for the building sizes/locations for the second round of netting by viewing the images below.

For indoor barrier applications like this one, the #21 X 1-3/4" square mesh knotted nylon netting is an optimal selection because:
  • #21 X 1-3/4" knotted nylon is extremely strong, but also a lightweight material
  •  allows for a highly dependable usage/durability without adding stress on the installation supports
  • allows for light to pass-through to keep the area functionally illuminated
  • square mesh pattern is extremely user-friendly due to the 90ยบ mesh configuration
  • 1-3/4" mesh size blocks objects of a 2"+ diameter, making is it very versatile for many sports/athletic applications
These nets went from the quoting and designing process, to being produced/shipped and installed by UW within 3 weeks.  Take a look at the great photos of the job that were sent our way this week, and if you have some inquiries of your own for similar sorts of netting supply you can always contact Gourock.com with your questions.

Basketball Barrier Net With Poles

The Home Barrier Netting System that is available at Gourock.com is a really functional solution for people that need to block/contain balls and objects within different areas of their property.  Consisting of a dependable ground anchor and steel pole installation, with netting panels clipped to steel attachment points, there are hundreds of potential applications for the Home Barrier Poles.  For some really good context on the materials and components, check out this page of the Gourock site (click here), and also this previously written article (click here) that helps demonstrate the assembly of the poles themselves.

Some very popular applications for this combination of netting and poles include barrier set-ups for baseball & softball, soccer, basketball, lacrosse & hockey, volleyball, golf, and many other multipurpose uses.  Generally speaking, if you are a person that is looking for a solid netting installation system that is an alternative to a permanently-installed post/cable/footing approach - then the Home Barrier Netting System is a really good option to consider.

A recent customer in Texas contacted us seeking information on how he could utilize the Home Barrier Poles and some nylon netting panels in a way that would fit his unique requirements.  Basically, he has a very nice basketball hoop setup on the edge of his driveway - but the way that the property dropped-away behind the hoop was causing all kinds of inconvenient situations with missed shots and basketballs rolling away from their practice area.  In addition to the annoyance of consistently chasing and retrieving basketballs that were rolling away, the lawn area behind the driveway was being destroyed and ripped-up from the excess wear-and-tear from the increased foot traffic on it.  He tried out a couple of potential solutions, which were a small "catch net" that was sourced from a department store - along with layering some burlap material over the worn lawn, however neither accomplished what they needed to.

Here is the photo of the basketball hoop area with generic-net and burlap covering that was forwarded to us while we discussed the matter on the phone:

Using and installing the Home Barrier Poles along with some custom-sized nylon netting panels was the approach used to get things solved for this customer.  The primary characteristics that needed to be considered were that the property grade was quite uneven from one side to the other, and that he wanted to get a fairly wide coverage area for the netting while keeping the overall setup pretty "minimal" as well.  But these things were no problem at all to facilitate.  The way that a solution was packaged for him included:

  • different height poles installed to match the grade as closely as possible, which were a collection of 8' poles and a 10' pole where the property dropped lower.
  • different dimension custom nylon nets that would help alleviate the effect of the slope/height differences, while still getting barrier coverage all the way to the ground.
  • breaking-up the barrier/containment area into two separate pole/netting areas which would allow him to make the fit and installation adjustments to the left and right sides independently - and to his own preferences.
  • using the #21 X 1-3/4" square mesh knotted DuPont® nylon netting, with 5/16" Dacron® rope bordering, for optimal longterm outdoor use for many years.
A couple of days ago he had forwarded over the back and front views of his initial installation of the materials, and he reported back great success achieving his goals.  He opted to source a package of the netting installation bungee-balls that we have available so that he could make a few more netting attachments and installation adjustments - but other than that he was able to get rid of the generic 'catch net' that was on there and should start seeing his worn lawn recover nicely!  Here are the images sent over to us, and hopefully they help you out with a bit more context for some of the barrier netting solutions that you can source through Gourock:

Netting Panels With Customized Shapes

Gourock.com routinely assists customers that need netting panels that require some customized shapes in order to function according to their needs.  For instance, if the netting is being installed within a structure/framing that has tapered edges or 'notched' areas, the nylon netting panels that are supplied are constructed to match the specific area that needs to be blocked.  Generally speaking, most tapers or shapes can be facilitated and supplied by Gourock - and that allows many people to accomplish a solution to their barrier netting needs with as much of a personalized fit as possible.  The most recommended approach to getting this sort of job going is to contact us and submit a general drawing/sketch of the dimensions and shape that your looking to have produced.  Also, it's most helpful to either identify the twine/mesh needed, or alternatively what the intended application for the netting is (so that we can make a suggestion on twine/mesh for the panel).

Netting panels that have customized shapes, tapers, or notches are built with the twisted-knotted DuPont® nylon netting, and feature a Dacron® rope bordering that is woven-through the perimeter edge meshes and then sewn into place with nylon twine.  All materials and craftsmanship are 100% Made in the USA and are of the highest quality available.  On the Gourock.com site there are many examples of custom netting panels that have been supplied over the years (click here), and you can also search/browse through this company blog to view lots of other examples of customized nylon nets.

Here are three custom-shaped netting panel productions that have been facilitated, produced, and shipped over the last couple of weeks.  Each of the following diagrams show the unique dimensions and shapes that were required for each customer's particular netting installation - and all feature the highest quality DuPont® type 66-728 nylon netting with 5/16" Dacron® rope borders:

Commercial Soccer Facility in Miami

Recently, a new commercial soccer facility was constructed in Miami, FL and the custom soccer barrier netting panels were sourced and supplied by Gourock.com.  Soccer barrier netting is a very popular netting solution that we handle consistently, and the availability of custom netting built to any dimensions required is a extraordinary useful product feature for contractors, facilities, and end-users.
Here's a copy of a recent email from 'Georgeson Architectural Group', the company behind the new "Soccer 5" facility in Miami:
Just a short note to thank you for your efforts in delivering another superb project for www.soccer5usa.com in Miami - keep an eye on www.soccer5usa.com/miami for leagues/tournaments and news.
I thought you might like a copy of the Case Study which I've attached for your records and I've also included a recent Miami Herald Press arcticle:http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/08/09/1767296/just-for-kicks.html
Our Architectural group 'Georgeson' was very proud to create S5 Miami for Scott and again our GC Group 'Constructive' was very pleased with construction and in particular the support from you, our so valued partners.
So, all the best Scott and thank you for letting us build this case study and use your press article - and bring on the roll out of Soccer 5 as you 'get in the game' throughout the USA with the evolution of soccer 5 v 5!
Gourock.com facilitated and supplied 12 custom netting panels for the facility, which you can view both Miami Herald article linked above, as well as in the photo below.  The netting of choice was the very high-quality and durable #44 X 1-3/4" Square Mesh Knotless Nylon Netting with 1/4" Dacron® Rope Bordering Installed.  The panel sizes that were facilitated/mfg./shipped were:
  • (2x) 6' X 65'
  • (4x) 6' X 60'
  • (6x) 6' X 90'
In addition, all of the cabling hardware and installation accessories for the installation were also supplied for the permanent hanging of the netting panels at the location.  A similar barrier netting installation approach as noted here at this link was undertaken, and the materials sourced and supplied were:
  • (5x) 3/16" x 250' Galvanized Aircraft Cable
  • (1x) Cable Cutter
  • (24x) 3/8” Turnbuckle
  • (50x) 3/16” Galvanized Cable Clamps
  • (1250x) 1/4” Snap Hook (Aluminum Carabiner Hook, Black)
All of these hardware items can be viewed and sourced at the Netting Installation Hardware part of the Gourock site/store.

All-in-all, a great solution for a high-end commercial soccer facility that will generate lots of fantastic opportunities for the soccer community in the Miami region!
