Custom Golf Netting Enclosures

Gourock.com specializes in supplying customized netting productions for a variety of unique uses, including many golf hitting and golf ball containment applications.  In many instances, the golf nets that we ship out for our customers are being used within golf cage frames or being used for typical golf cage installations.  Golf cage nets primarily are used for driving full-velocity drives and shots from a close-range distance, and are to block, catch, and contain the golf balls within the space.  Typically a golf cage netting enclosure will incorporate impact and barrier netting for both sides, the top/ceiling, and the back end (all seamed together with rope borders).

Gourock offers golf cage netting enclosures that are built per-order, according to your own preferred sizing and dimensions.  Any height, width, and overall length can be fabricated and shipped out, and ordering online is efficient and easy directly through our Online Custom Golf Cage Netting Calculator:

Built from the highest quality DuPont® Type 66-728 Twisted-Knotted Nylon Netting, the custom golf nets available from Gourock are 100% Made In The USA, and are fabricated per-order.  The mesh size that is used for golf impact and direct containment netting is a 3/4" mesh, and there are two twine thicknesses available to select from - which are #15 (1.8mm, 144 lb./tensile) and a heavier #21 (2.0mm, 241 lb./tensile).  Most golf cage nets also utilize a secondary reinforcement netting panel that covers the entire back-end of the netting enclosure, which is called an impact net.  The impact net aids in reinforcing the back of the cage netting that ends up taking the majority of the wear-and-tear from golf shots, and are composed from the heavier #21 X 3/4" knotted nylon netting.  The Custom Golf Cage Netting Calculator provides the option to add the secondary impact panel net to the overall job.

Many of the custom golf cage nets that are supplied by Gourock.com are pretty straightforward in general design, and simply feature the specified dimensions needed.  However for many customers there are quite a few customized design aspects that are incorporated into the overall production, including:

  • tapers and angles
  • additional reinforcement ropes installed
  • weighted rope bottom edges
  • combinations of twine thicknesses for the netting walls/ends
  • divider panel nets
  • fully-enclosed designs
  • portals, door areas, and notches
Many of the golf nets that are supplied by Gourock.com are shipped to private use and residential customers.  But there are many commercial and professional customers that utilize golf cage nets for training facilities, golf courses, pro-shops, driving ranges, field houses, and other high-abrasion and high-traffic installations.  These nets are often over-sized in dimensions, and utilize a variety of the additional features noted above.  If you have some more specific or unique features that you're considering having incorporated into your golf netting design, certainly feel free to contact Gourock to get a quote on your particular request.

Here are a couple of custom golf cage nets that were produced and shipped out in the last couple of weeks that each show some of the unique characteristics and features required by our customers for their golf netting installations.  Both are oversized nets that were built for commercial and professional training applications.

Example 1:
This golf cage net features a very large overall volume of 36' high X 77' wide X 92' long.  Built for a golf facility, they also required a series of reinforcement ropes to be run through the mesh - to be used when hanging and suspending the netting to their framing structure.  A very unique feature of this production was that both side nets and the ceiling net are the #15 X 3/4" knotted nylon, whereas the back end panel netting is from the thicker #21 X 3/4" knotted nylon netting.

Example 2:
This golf cage net also features an oversized volume, with a spacious 11' height X 23' width X 23' length.  Built for a private golf training installation from the #21 X 3/4" knotted nylon netting, it also incorporates 2 additional ceiling reinforcement ropes, and 3' long rope tie-off tails.  The secondary impact net on this production also has a weighted-rope "leadline" bottom edge.
