Indoor Baseball & Sports Facility Netting Installation

Gourock.com supplies custom netting for many different types of indoor installations and uses.  There are many types of clients and customers that source custom netting solutions for indoor sports training needs, including:
  • commercial sports training organizations
  • collegiate and university installations
  • professional teams and stadiums
  • sports and physical therapy establishments
  • personal and private residential training applications
  • municipal and scholastic team/club uses
Indoor baseball facilities generally require a variety of different netting solutions to fulfill the needs of the establishment - and in many instances the best approach is to install a 3-dimensional netting enclosure.  Netting enclosures incorporate a design that has both ends, both sides, and the entire top/ceiling mesh seamed together - meant to keep all balls and objects that are within the enclosed area properly contained in the space.  A very commonplace type of baseball product that is a netting enclosure is a batting cage net.  Gourock.com supplies enclosures and batting cage nets that are custom-built according to most any particular dimensions that you require for your space.  Custom combinations of height, width, and length can be easily prices and ordered directly through Gourock's Custom Batting Cage Calculator.

Most larger commercial and collegiate/professional baseball and softball indoor netting installations have the goal of enclosing relatively large areas and volumes within netting.  This allows facility organizers, manager, and owners to have a large space available to train in, while containing baseballs and softballs in a designated area - away from walls, lights, and visitor/general-public zones.  And in addition, many facility organizers also use a series of separate divider nets to slide back-and-forth within the larger netting enclosure - which breaks the larger space into smaller individual tunnel areas and hitting/pitching/training areas.  Gourock.com includes the option to add separate divider panel nets to custom batting cage nets as you continue through the Online Custom Batting Cage Calculator.

Using the highest quality DuPont® Type 66-728 Twisted-Knotted Nylon Netting, 100% Made in the USA, the custom batting cage nets available through Gourock.com are hand-built per-order by professional craftsman with dozens of years of net construction experience.  Very well prepared for outdoor installations (all materials are black UV Stabilized and Latex/Urethane Bonded) as well as for all indoor usage as well - generally any sizing at all can be produced for your particular needs.  Fast turnaround times on custom netting productions, and shipment/delivery options to anywhere.

Indoor netting installations almost always use a hanging approach that uses a series of tensioned cables/wires that stretch across the facility area - and then the netting clips underneath the cabling to suspend it off the ground.  This approach for hanging the netting also allows for the netting to be slid back-and-forth on the wires/cables "curtain-style", which is a very helpful feature to efficiently move the netting out of the way as needed (for maintenance, alternative building spaces uses, storage, etc.). We have provided much information over the years on how this installation approach can be undertaken, and here are some previous blog article and site links that will provide great context about cable suspension techniques:

A recent commercial sports and baseball facility in Ontario, Canada installed an indoor netting enclosure and divider net at their location.  This was a customized netting build that was manufactured to their own personal preferences on sizing and netting twine/mesh, along with the inclusion of top-rope ceiling lines (to line up with hanging cables) and separate divider panel nets.  This facility also utilized 3/16" Aircraft Cabling hardware items and snap-hooks to suspend the enclosure netting at their preferred height - as well as running separate cables for the individual divider panel nets.  Every facility and installation is a unique project, and here is a series of photos of this establishments' installation job, which provides some great general context into how you can go about something very similar at your own indoor sports facility.
